ChrisPen Baseball Skills Summer Clinic

For Youth Baseball Players Ages 7-12
NOTE: Eligibility for play is based on the child’s age as of August 1st.  
Elevate your game this summer with the ChrisPen Baseball Skills Summer Clinic! Designed for dedicated youth baseball players aged 7-12, this clinic offers comprehensive, in-depth instruction to hone fundamental skills and improve overall performance.
What to Expect:
Led and instructed by experienced South County Tribe coaches, Coach Derrick Christian and Coach Adam Penny, the ChrisPen Baseball Skills Summer Clinic will provide focused training in all critical aspects of the game, including:
  • Batting: Develop powerful and consistent swings, proper plate discipline, and advanced hitting techniques.
  • Fielding: Master fundamental fielding mechanics, footwork, and glove-work for infield and outfield positions.
  • Throwing: Improve arm strength, accuracy, and throwing mechanics to maximize efficiency and prevent injury.
  • Pitching: Learn proper pitching form, develop different pitches, and understand mound presence (age-appropriate instruction).
  • Glove Work: Enhance hand-eye coordination and confidence in catching and securing the ball.
  • Conditioning: Participate in baseball-specific drills designed to improve agility, speed, and endurance, getting you in peak baseball shape.
Clinic Schedule:
The ChrisPen Baseball Skills Summer Clinic will run for 5 weeks, from the week of July 14th through the week of August 14th. During this period, we will hold a total of 8 baseball skills development sessions.
  • Session Frequency: 2 sessions per week.
  • Session Length: Each session will be 90 minutes to 2 hours in length.
  • Time: All sessions will be held on weekday evenings from 6:15 PM - 8:00 PM.
  • Specific Clinic Days: The exact days of the week for the clinic sessions will be shared with all registered participants by the first week of July.

GEAR REQUIRED BY PARENTS
Baseball Practice Pants or sweats (no shorts) - Players will need a pair of black baseball pants for practices. 
Baseball Glove –The right size mitt properly broken in can be used for several seasons. Baseball gloves should be purchased for your child’s non-dominant hand (If right-handed, the baseball glove will need to be worn on your child’s left hand).
Batting Helmet Helmets come in a variety of sizes. Helmets are used anytime a player is handling a bat and running the bases, fit and comfort are extremely important to ensure the proper function of the helmet. Each team is equipped with additional helmets that can be shared for those without a helmet.
Cleats – Cleats are a required to ensure your player can get the grip they need on the diamond. 
Protective Cup – Cups are strongly recommended for boys of all ages. Baseballs can hurt

South County Tribe Fall 2025 Baseball Camp (Ages 4-12)

Our program welcomes the participation of players of various skill levels, as we pride ourselves in establishing an environment that focuses on skill development in the sport of baseball. We provide a safe and inclusive environment where children can develop athletic skills, build character, and learn valuable life lessons that will empower them for success both on and off the field.

Fall Camp- Our Fall Baseball Camp runs from early August through early October and has two practices per week for 7-8 weeks which begin in early-mid March.

Thermal long-sleeve undershirt – Strongly recommended, especially during the colder months late in camp, it can be cold out on the field. Sweatshirts are also acceptable.
